General Inquiries

The Montreal Heels Festival is a vibrant 4-day extravaganza scheduled from November 16th to 19th, 2023. At the heart of this event lies captivating competitions, awe-inspiring performances, and invigorating weekend workshops, all dedicated to the world of heels dance.

The festival serves as a convergence point for dance enthusiasts, music devotees, entrepreneurs, event aficionados, and dance maestros. Over these four days, participants will unite to share, learn, and amplify their dance expertise and networks through active participation, observation, and immersion in a truly exceptional experience.

Absolutely not! The Montreal Heels Festival is designed to welcome individuals from all walks of life. One of our primary objectives is to introduce non-heels dancers to this vibrant art form, encouraging them to join the celebration. Open-mindedness and a willingness to explore new horizons are all that’s required to partake in the festivities.

Registration

Registering for the festival is straightforward and hassle-free. Festival passes can be conveniently purchased online. You can choose from individual day or evening tickets or explore various package options that suit your preferences. Visit the TICKETS page for all options.

Certainly! Tickets will also be available for purchase at the venue’s Ticket Booth. The booth will open an hour before the event doors open. View EVENT SCHEDULE for the program.

For online purchases, major credit/debit cards and PayPal and Apple Pay are accepted. At the on-site Ticket Booth, payments can be made in cash (CAD, USD), as well as through VISA, MasterCard, AmEx, and Debit.

It’s recommended to secure your Full Pass Package as soon as possible. Prices tend to increase the longer you wait, so early booking is advantageous.

The Full Pass Package grants access to a comprehensive festival experience, including local, national, and international performances, and weekend workshops led by acclaimed local and international instructors. It also includes the exciting Competition on Sunday. 

All pre-paid purchases will be registered in our database. Festival passes can be collected at the prepaid registration booth during the event. Kindly bring your payment confirmation receipt and a valid photo ID for verification.

Of course! The Montreal Heels Dance Competition is open to everyone from beginner to advanced. Amateurs and Professionals alike can demonstrate their talent by competing in front of a live audience and judged by world renowned dancers.

Workshops

A workshop is a master class hosted by today’s preeminent dance instructors from around the globe. Attending workshops offers a plethora of advantages:

  • Enhanced Learning: Workshops provide an opportunity to delve deeper into dance techniques.
  • Refinement & Motivation: They help in refining your skills and provide motivation to excel.
  • Improvement & Fun: Workshops foster improvement while being enjoyable.
  • Goal Setting: Set dance goals and explore new elements to incorporate.
  • Evaluation & Growth: Assess what you have and haven’t mastered.
  • International Exposure: Experience the teachings of esteemed international instructors.
  • Local Excellence: Witness the prowess of top local and national instructors.
  • Collective Learning: Share the learning experience with a community of enthusiasts.
  • Empowering Education: Attending a workshop is an education that’s uniquely yours.
  • Sense of Achievement: Workshops provide a sense of accomplishment and empowerment.
  • Just Do It: They motivate you to take that step towards improvement.

No partner needed! Feel free to attend workshops solo, as heels dancing doesn’t necessitate a partner.

During active instruction, recording is not permitted. If the instructor allows, you may videotape at the end of the class.

Prioritize comfort. Wear appropriate workout/dance attire along with suitable footwear (heels) for ease of movement.

The workshop schedule, categorized by levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced, etc.), will be available online at the WORKSHOP page generally available 1 month before the event. To help you choose:

  • Beginner: 3 – 6 months of dance lessons
  • Intermediate: 6 – 12 months of dance lessons
  • Advanced: Over 1 year of regular dancing and lessons

Workshops cater to all skill levels, encouraging you to challenge yourself and embrace the joy of learning.

Individual workshops can only be purchased as part of a full day package. While you can select specific workshops to attend within a day, single workshop purchases are not available.

Feel free to come and go from workshops as desired. Just be mindful not to disrupt ongoing classes.

Evening Performances

Evening performances commence promptly according to the SCHEDULE. Arriving early is recommended as seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Most attendees start arriving around 30-60 minutes prior to show starting. For those without advance show tickets, allocate extra time for ticket purchase.

Consider purchasing the VIP ticket to benefit from reserved up front seating.

While there isn’t a strict dress code, we encourage attendees to dress presentably. “Dress to Impress” during the evening events to add to the overall elegance and ambiance.
